The weather in Virginia can be a bit adventurous. We were headed up to Rappahannock County to shoot when the skies opened up. And this was no light sprinkle, this was a full-blown Virginia thunderstorm. So we turned around and headed back to Culpeper and made a beeline for Mountain Run Lake Park. Where the weather was still nice…for a little bit.
Fortunately, I’m very familiar shooting at this location, and getting some great family shots in a tight timeline wasn’t a problem. But naturally, the session wasn’t over when the storm came upon us. We simply took cover under a picnic pavilion and kept shooting until the storm passed and blue skies came back to play. So we wrapped up with sunshine and smiles.
I absolutely love having clients that roll with the punches, trust me as their photographer, and just have fun no matter the weather.
