Thanksgiving week is such a great time to schedule an extended family portrait session. As kids grow and launch and settle into their own family lives, it gets harder and harder to get them all in one place, amiright?! Don’t let those precious opportunities pass you by!

This big, crazy fun family managed to snag one of my premium slots the day before Thanksgiving. The sun was shining, the weather was glorious, the kids cooperated…more or less, lol. But that’s pretty standard, and I know a thing or two about working with kids to get authentic engagement and expressions.

I had a great time working with this beautiful collection of people, and felt right at home in their backyard in Culpeper. The photo session was relaxed and fun, and it definitely shows in their portraits, which are happily displayed in frames all over their home. Makes my heart so happy to see how clients use the story of love and connection to decorate their homes.
